Sunna

I got a new Goddess oracle deck and the first card that came out was ‘Sunna’.
Goddess Sunna or Sol is the Radiant Sun Goddess of Norse Mythology. Every dawn Sunna drives a chariot drawn by two horses through the sky as they pull the sun. Only Sunna is not on her own because she is being chased by a wolf ready to pounce and devour her.
I love the depiction of this story that although we are shining our light we are usually being chased by our own shadows at the same time.
My painting shows Sunna resting in her light and in her dark. I love that two differing forces can coexist at the same time.

I live and have my Studio in Crystal Brook South Australia.
I am a self taught artist who has been painting for the last 15 years. I love using bright colors in my mixed media pieces and mostly winging it to see what is created!
I run Creative Release workshops for people to show that being an artist is available for everyone! My main reason for creating is to give myself that feeling of joy and wonder and I hope that translates when people see my work.
