Cloudscape VII

This painting is 8” x 10” (approximately 20 x 25cm) impasto acrylic painting on canvas. It is part of my “cloudscape” series which was inspired by the beauty of the sky on different times of day and lighting.

Impasto medium was used to give rich thick texture which is unique to this painting. Please see the images provided to see the details and the texture of the painting.

I am an artist from Blue Mountains, NSW. Represented by Aspire Gallery (QLD).

Working primarily with oils, I paint both real and imagined landscapes with ethereality.
Influenced by various significant artists from the past from the early impressionist painters and their love of capturing light and beauty, to colour field painters I continue to develop my painting style and techniques.

My works have in recent years commanded a significant amount of collecting attention. My most recent achievement includes online finalist in Lethbridge Small Art Prize 2023 and 2022 and having my works collected internationally in USA, UK and Singapore.
I also have a graphic design and photography background.

My goal is to capture the beauty of nature that people often take for granted. I never lack inspiration when there’s beauty all around us and above us.
