Artwork Description

This artwork is a pastel painting measuring 28 x 36 cm. It has been sprayed with a fixative, ready for framing. It fits the standard 11โ€ x 14โ€ photo frame with a mount.
The paper is a warm toned Canson Mi Teintes paper with a slight texture. Please see the close up photos above.

FRAMING
Bluethumb offers affordable framing so you can have this artwork delivered at your door, already framed and ready to hang. Please select your preferred frame above.

Alternatively, you can frame this by yourself with a standard 11โ€ x 14โ€ photo frame with a mat. You will need to make sure the opening is 11โ€ x 14โ€. However, unless you are experienced at framing pastel paintings, I would suggest you take this artwork to a local framer. Pastel artwork should not come in direct contact with the glass of the frame. A matt board is essential.
I will include a guide on how to care for pastel artworks.

PACKING AND SHIPPING
If you choose to frame this artwork yourself or take it to your local framer, I will pack it securely with foam board, plenty of padding and a sturdy cardboard box.
If you choose to have it framed through Bluethumb, the artwork will be shipped to the framer first. After framing, Bluethumb will then make sure it will arrive safely at your place.
I have shipped many unframed pastel works on paper without any issues.
Thanks for browsing. If you have any questions, please contact me through Bluethumb

Artist Bio

I am an artist from Blue Mountains, NSW. Represented by Aspire Gallery (QLD).

Working primarily with oils, I paint both real and imagined landscapes with ethereality.
Influenced by various significant artists from the past from the early impressionist painters and their love of capturing light and beauty, to colour field painters I continue to develop my painting style and techniques.

My works have in recent years commanded a significant amount of collecting attention. My most recent achievement includes online finalist in Lethbridge Small Art Prize 2023 and 2022 and having my works collected internationally in USA, UK and Singapore.
I also have a graphic design and photography background.

My goal is to capture the beauty of nature that people often take for granted. I never lack inspiration when thereโ€™s beauty all around us and above us.
