I came across a saying - 'look for the glimmers', and felt that the blue orchids were a 'glimmer' that day at the florist that I couldn't walk past.
Painted from life, I have made the blue orchids the star of this still life with oyster shells and stripes.

This work will be available for purchase online and will also be on display at the Bluethumb Gallery in Richmond, Melbourne as part of the gallery's 'Bluethumb x Southern Buoy: 40 x 40' exhibition from May 2nd - July 1st. Interested collectors may inquire prior to this date.
