Artwork Description

Honouring Australia’s history and treasures. Here is a piece of land showcasing an interpretation of natures gifts hidden among Australia.

This piece is a perspective creation. Hang it in one direction and the gold is visible however once flipped 90 degrees the gold camouflages and is hidden. Can you find the gold?

Layers of plaster spray paint and gold leaf foil were used to create thing piece.

Displayed with a black frame available to purchase at the checkout however not a necessity as the artworks edges are seamlessly textured and painted.

Artist Bio

Textured art inspired by nature.

Born in Melbourne Australia visiting the Royal Botanic Garden was a regular family activity. Nature always mesmerised me.

Looking back it’s always been art!
My first memory of art was in grade 1. Our class was creating paintings in a tub of water with ink droplets. We then placed paper on top of the water to preserve our colourful creation.

As I lifted my paper from the water I was beyond ecstatic when my piece resembled a rainbow paddle pop with swirls of yellows, pinks and blues all over. I couldn’t believe I made that. My creative obsession was born!

I now enjoy working with mixed media on canvas.
My creative outlets a long side art are hair dressing and yoga.
For me art is a collaboration of the two. I feel very content and grounded while creating art and intend for those who view my work to share the feeling.

I am currently working on a hanging sculpture collection full of large shapes with a minimalist twist. The inspiration was drawn from the ficus tree trunks at the Botanical Gardens, I still visit the gardens regularly to this day.

All of my pieces are original one off creations.
