Textured art inspired by nature.
Born in Melbourne Australia visiting the Royal Botanic Garden was a regular family activity. Nature always mesmerised me.
Looking back it’s always been art!
My first memory of art was in grade 1. Our class was creating paintings in a tub of water with ink droplets. We then placed paper on top of the water to preserve our colourful creation.
As I lifted my paper from the water I was beyond ecstatic when my piece resembled a rainbow paddle pop with swirls of yellows, pinks and blues all over. I couldn’t believe I made that. My creative obsession was born!
I now enjoy working with mixed media on canvas.
My creative outlets a long side art are hair dressing and yoga.
For me art is a collaboration of the two. I feel very content and grounded while creating art and intend for those who view my work to share the feeling.
I am currently working on a hanging sculpture collection full of large shapes with a minimalist twist. The inspiration was drawn from the ficus tree trunks at the Botanical Gardens, I still visit the gardens regularly to this day.
All of my pieces are original one off creations.
