Between the Flags III

A parent and small child, hand in hand, wading into the whitewater - the third of my Between the Flags series of Australian beach oil paintings. The brimmed hat, the held hand, the flag keeping watch: this is the shoreline as first classroom, where courage is learned one small wave at a time, safely inside the flags.
