Artwork Description

Celebrating the gum trees of Mordialloc. Part of a series acknowledging the many thanks I give to the local urban trees that persevere and improve neighbourhood crime rates, air quality, temperature regulation, wildlife diversity and inspire awe in our children. Executed with bold impasto block colours, inspired partly by modern illustration styles. Each piece in the series depicts a different real-life tree, with different colours to represent the time of day it is viewed by the artist and inspired by the fragmented shapes of the bark. The Golden Age is a gum growing in a nearby dog park, at least 30 years old, seen and loved on evening dog walks.

Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity plus titled and signed on back. Frame not included.
