I’m a self-taught artist from South Australia with a deep love for capturing personality and emotion through paint. Although I work full time, my weekends are devoted to the studio, where I specialise in expressive pet portraits known for their colour, character, and soul.
My artistic journey began at six, when my grandmother gifted me a monthly art course that opened my world. By seven I was sketching my dad at the dinner table, somehow managing to capture the quiet emotion in his face. I went on to win local competitions, but life took me in a different direction for a while.
In my early adulthood I faced some of the hardest moments of my life—homelessness, domestic violence, addiction, and starting again with nothing but a suitcase. When I moved back home and began rebuilding my life, painting became my therapy and my anchor. Even when the art wasn’t perfect, it was honest.
Once I found stability again, I returned to painting with purpose. One of my proudest works is my portrait of David Gulpilil, created after his passing. His eyes in that piece are a reminder of why I continue to paint: to honour stories, emotion, and spirit.
Today, I’m committed to growing as an artist, sharing my work through future exhibitions, and using creativity to help others find healing—just as art helped me.
