Born in Sydney and now based in Lake Macquarie, Jill has been creating art from a very young age. After studying at Lismore TAFE, where she completed a Diploma of Visual Arts, Jill went on to refine her practice through further study at The Byron School Of Art and the National Art School, in Sydney.
Following a career in nursing and the medical corporate world, Jill made the decision to devote herself full-time to her art. Inspired by colour, shapes, shadows, and light found in nature, her work explores the emotions they evoke through colourful abstract and impressionist pieces.
Jill’s practice is diverse, spanning oil, acrylic, watercolour, printmaking, and metal sculpture. Her artworks have been collected in both Australia and the United States, and she is currently exhibiting at Tinkat Alley Art Studio in Fassifern, NSW.
