Artwork Description

Heading back home from a few days away in Margs, we drove past this little farmstead and the sky was wintry, the fields had been saturated and everything was green. So I wanted to paint this as a winter scene, while it was still winter, to try to capture a feeling of the sanctuary of this little cottage on a cold, wet day.

Jill Bryant is a West Australian artist, based in Fremantle. Jill inspired by the colours‚ textures and emotive elements of everything around her making her work extremely varied. Her passion for art started at a very early age and has continued to grow along with her skills awarding her with Dux of her year in two art institutions during her years of art education. Although a qualified Graphic Designer her real love is for painting‚ both in impressionistic and abstract forms.

The watercolour medium never ceases to captivate her and has moved her to push the boundaries producing stunning watercolour abstracts and impressionist works.
