Artwork Description

Lovely and loose, this is of a series of paintings on paper, exploring the transitory quality of flowers. One day lush and colourful, the next the quiet journey to decay.
This painting is a celebration of the bountiful spring beauty of a full flush of blooms, the blue and white Chinoiserie china reflected in the blue cornflowers and various white blooms within the earthy pot. There is something magical about the wild and free arrangement in contrast to the refined china. One traverses the decades, the other's beauty is only her for a number of days.

Artist Bio

I am passionate about art in every way! I love to paint and draw, and I am especially inspired by the beauty and transience of nature. I love nothing more than to create joyous pieces that will bring warmth and life to any space by representing natural beauty in the form of flowers, plants, landscapes and animals. I have spent my life admiring the art of others, travelling the world visiting galleries across Europe, America and Asia. I have found myself so inspired by such observations that I now feel consumed with ideas about what to paint next. What began as a fun, mindful time, has become a passionate obsession. Every moment I can, I dedicate myself to creating art. I am striving to find that perfect combination of form, tone, colour, and composition. My time is spent constantly seeking to explore and develop as an artist.
