"Gum" was inspired by time spent in the Mt Cole region of Victoria, and the majestic eucalypts surviving in a dry, barren environment. The painting was created using acrylic paints and texture was formed by mixing acrylic paint with modelling paste which was then applied with a small spatula. The painting is on stretched canvas which is fitted with a dark brown stained Tasmanian oak floating frame.
