Cascades

While visiting Thredbo I took the walking track through the park and crossed the river, I found the power of the flow inspiring, I have tried to capture that poer in this paintng, I found using pallete knife gave me texture in the rocks and the tree bark, giving the feeling of a rugged terrain.

I live in Canberra, and love the colours of the changing seasons and the misty hue of the Brindabella Ranges. Textures and colour inspire me. I have been blessed throughout my artistic life to have been mentored by some wonderful artists, in Sydney and Canberra. They have inspired me to find my own style. I believe I have been influenced by the great Australian artists from the Heidelberg School of arts. I enjoy creating visual art using various media, including acrylic and oil on canvas, collage, lino print and wax encaustic. I completed studying for a Diploma Visual Arts in August 2017.
