Artwork Description

While on a houseboat holiday on the Clyde River I loved the reflections on the water and just had to capture it. My favoured material to paint with is oils, I find them movable and forgiving.

I live in Canberra, and love the colours of the changing seasons and the misty hue of the Brindabella Ranges. Textures and colour inspire me. I have been blessed throughout my artistic life to have been mentored by some wonderful artists, in Sydney and Canberra. They have inspired me to find my own style. I believe I have been influenced by the great Australian artists from the Heidelberg School of arts. I enjoy creating visual art using various media, including acrylic and oil on canvas, collage, lino print and wax encaustic. I completed studying for a Diploma Visual Arts in August 2017.
