"Xanthorea Xanadu" is one of six paintings in the Wildflowers of Gariwerd collection. Created to recall the gentle hum of nature and bring a pocket of serenity into your home.
"Gariwerd is one of the most majestic landscapes in Victoria and one of my favourite places to be. When I couldn't visit in person because of travel restrictions, I decided to paint the *feeling* of being there. Sumi-e (ink brush painting) is all about using brush strokes to communicate the essence of what you're painting. In this case, I was painting the serenity of being amongst the granite rocks and weird plantscapes of Gariwerd (the Grampians)." __________ Jo Watson
"Xanthorea Xanadu" showcases the Australian grass tree (Xanthorea minor), blue pincushions and totem poles (Melaleuca decussata).
