Artwork Description

Acrylic Paint on canvas

Signed with a certificate of authenticity

This is Eva's story about hunting sand frogs around Balgo community. At the start of the dry season when it gets cold, people go hunting for frogs to help their cold sick. The fat on the frogs is good for sore throats. Up in the big sandunes people go looking for lumps in the sand, this means there are frogs. You dig a big hole (centre circle) and when the sand starts to get wet you know frogs are there (dark circle). When you have caught all the frogs you throw them on the hot coals (orange circle) and eat them up. Palya.
