Artwork Description

Abstract artwork representing the issues amongst pesticide use in the garden and its effects on bees the pollinators. The artist used abstract shapes and fine tip pens to create details to the work.

Colours are bold and loud to create the feelings of importance and to awaken consciousness to the issues. Cobalt blue and pink was used to create dynamic interplay to encourage a deeper reflection and compassion on our relationship with the environment and our role in its preservation. Through the lens of cobalt blue, the artwork conveys a dual message of alarm and hope.

Artist Bio

I'm Joanna, an artist with a passion for spreading positivity through my vibrant and whimsical paintings. Juggling the roles of a nurse and a mom, I'm constantly striving to find the balance between my responsibilities and my love for art. My dream? To transition into a full-time artist sooner rather than later.

My artistic process is all about the details. I find solace in the stillness of art, losing myself in the moment as I meticulously add intricate layers and fine line detailing to my work. It's these small nuances that bring my paintings to life, inviting viewers to take a closer look and discover the depth and complexity within.

Primarily, I work with acrylic paints on canvas, but I'm always eager to explore new mediums. Resin and felt-tip pens have found their way into my repertoire, allowing me to push the boundaries of my creativity and experiment with different textures and techniques.

In my art, I'm deeply inspired by my spiritual energy, nature's beauty, and the diverse experiences of life. Each brushstroke is guided by intuition, allowing me to tap into a deeper connection with my creativity. Through my work, I hope to evoke emotions and spark reflection in those who view it.
