Artwork Description

Acrylic and gold leaf on canvas
180 × 240 cm

Monumental in scale and architectural in composition, Edifice explores structure, proportion and materiality through a restrained palette of stone, concrete, charcoal and deep ink blue.

Hand-applied gold leaf interrupts the matte painted surface, shifting with changing light and introducing a quiet luminosity to the work.

At 180 × 240 cm, Edifice has a commanding physical presence while retaining a sense of order and stillness - an interplay of weight and openness, permanence and light.
