Artwork Description

Collector-grade original by Joanna Wolthuizen, 2025.
Initialed on the front, signed on reverse.

NORTHWATCH (2025) explores the enduring presence of a landmark held between sea and sky. Through composed geometry and bold architectural form, the work conveys quiet authority and permanence - an enduring point of orientation shaped by horizon, light and time.

Balancing strength with atmosphere, NORTHWATCH commands a space without overwhelming it. Its layered composition and restrained palette create a powerful architectural presence, offering both visual clarity and lasting depth.

Palette: slate blue, muted ochre, mineral green, warm stone and soft celadon.
