Artwork Description

This piece was created on a textured Red Yellow Textured Canvas!

I love using texture on all my abstract art pieces and mixing colours together. That’s why all my abstract art pieces include textured layers. This painting, like all of my pieces, is a mixture of acrylics and texture. These beautiful pieces are created on a 40mm frame wrapped in linen, with a gloss coat and gallery finished edges.

I also love commissions. Do you like this piece or any other piece but want it in a different size, colours formats etc, please let me know. I would love to work with you to bring your idea to life.!

Artist Bio

A practicing artist and lawyer, local to the western suburbs of Melbourne. Joanne Daniel creates original contemporary artworks inspired by her extraordinary life journey, vibrant use of colour, and unwavering Christian faith. She a Chaldean originally from Iraq. Chaldeans are Aramaic-speaking. They have a history that spans more than 5,500 years, dating back to Mesopotamia, which was known as the cradle of civilization and is present-day Iraq. Born in Iraq in 1985, Joanne and her family fled their homeland as refugees, spending several years living in tents in refugee camps before settling in Melbourne in 1992.

Her love for Art became obvious since early childhood. She has maintained Art throughout her life as a hobby and her passion for the Arts has grown deeper and deeper, and now dedicates more time in her private Art Studio to create new Abstract Art. During her younger years at High School her Art teachers would encourage her to pursue a career in the Arts as her passion for painting was evident from a very young age.

Though her works varying greatly, they are frequently characterised by bold compositions and expressive movement, and typically result from creative experimentation. Full of colour, texturisation and dynamism, her works come in a multitude of dimensional sizes and make an exquisite focal point or addition to any home or office space. In addition to her abstracts, Joanne also competed in the 2019 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, finishing as a semi-finalist.

She hopes you like and find a connection to her Artwork.
