Race To The finish Line

I wanted to show the beauty & movement of these amazing creatures. Adding the dust makes the picture come to life enabling you to envisage the sound of galloping hooves. I’ve always been a little scared of horses and their power and strength, painting this enabled me to see what a beautiful and strong animal horses are. This is my first painting of horses I had set myself a challenge and hope that you are pleased as I am with the results.

Originally from London I am a self taught artist living in the Melbourne Eastern suburbs.
Having dabbled at school it was not until I reached my 40’s that I actually started to paint again. I found that I enjoyed capturing the personalities of mostly dogs with many of my commissions from dog owners.
I love painting in oils mainly animals and flowers‚ however I'm currently enjoying experimenting more modern styles.
