At Ease

This painting was produced completely from life from start to finish. The sitting where of 3 x 8hour poses on three separate weeks, with a total of 92 hours.
The piece represents stillness and the confidence of trust when resting supported by another hand to embrace us with comfort.

Joanne has grown up in Northern NSW and has been drawing since childhood. Her grandmother introduced her to oil painting as a teenager and since moving to Brisbane Joanne has continued her oil painting education as well as studying in depth colour relationships.
