Artwork Description

An abstract and modern still life painting. Twelve snow white anemones with midnight navy centres are paired boldly with tangerine blooms, oranges and jungle green stems and leaves.

Timeless black and white wall paper contrasts beautifully with the salmon pink table to bring this vibrant, floral still life artwork to life.

Artist Bio

Flowers are Jodie's muse. Her paintings are a celebration of gloriously large abstract florals, using bold colour palettes. Painted bunches of vivid and luminous flowers embody what Jodie believes to be essential to our human experience; celebration, joy and gratitude.

In each painting the kaleidoscopic colour relationship is carefully thought out and compositionally, the flowers protrude out of the vase and off the canvas to honour their aesthetic beauty and natural form.

Jodie obtained a degree in Visual Arts at Queensland University of Technology. She travelled abroad and frequented many of the world's best modern art galleries and undertook a course at the TATE modern in London to further her artistic skills.

Her art studio is located in Noosa, Australia where she resides with her husband, two young daughters and dog, Frank.
