Red sky night

There’s something about rocks covered in lichen and moss. They make me feel small in a big world, reminding me of my place in the bigger picture … that despite everything the world will carry on … and this lichen that has grown over centuries will continue to grow, unaided by man, and paint the landscape in beautiful shades of green, grey, white and brown. As will this sun continue to rise and fall over these remote lands.
This painting, for me, capture the beauty of this ancient land we call home.
Finished with gloss varnish and white painted edges.
