Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
On a March afternoon, after walking along the waterfront from Volendam and then along the canals into central Edam I came across this quiet scene. Oddly there was hardly anyone about, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. I took several photos with the intention of turning them into a painting after returning home to Australia. As most of you would know, Edam is a small town in the Netherlands renowned for its cheeses.
The painting is on a deep edge canvas and is designed to be displayed without a frame.
If you live near Tweed Heads or the Gold Coast you're welcome to come by and view the painting before committing to purchase.
