This painting is of my backyard fence. Even overgrown wisteria on a humble backyard fence can have an ordinary beauty. The wisteria's haphazard form created an interesting interplay of light and dark, with intense shades of green competing with the pink of the fence. It was a windy day when I painted this scene looking out of the window in my home studio as I attempted to catch the fast moving clouds in the azure blue sky above.
