This painting is part of a body of work that looks at the interplay of mid winter light on objects from my collection. The painting features two bronze sculptures by Josel Lorenzl and a green satin Depression glass vase. Lorenzl was an Austrian sculptor and ceramicist of the Art Deco period and his figures of women were always elegant and exhibit great movement. The figures in the painting seemingly dance across the table as if it were a stage.
