John McAnulty was born in the not so picturesque countryside of rural Victoria. From an early age, he demonstrated an interest in art, showcasing his innate talent in various creative endeavours. Today, John is an artist based in Melbourne.
He has participated in a number of exhibitions including the Camberwell Rotary Art Show, Mornington Peninsula, Sorrento, Bayside and several other exhibitions, as well as the Mentone and Mordialloc Art Group show (MMAG) where he won the People’s Choice Award.
John has also undertaken some commissions for private individuals and provided the artwork for an “up and coming” rock band’s first album.
John’s artistic repertoire is marked by a continuing engagement with representational art. His creative exploration extends across various subjects, with an emphasis on the figure in the landscape and landscapes more generally.
And portraiture is a significant facet of John’s artistic endeavours where, through careful attention to detail and an understanding of his subjects, he hopes to bring them to life.
