Artist Bio

I am a self-taught Australian artist . I have worked previously at 45 different jobs during my lifetime, however, I’ve retained a love of all things Art. I have been inspired by many artists, especially Jackson Pollock and The Aboriginal artists of Australia . I love to paint joyful works: mostly with acrylics. I enjoy experimenting, using a variety of implements and techniques. I love nature ! I see mother nature as the greatest artist of all. By mixing and weaving colours I hope I can connect people emotionally with my works.

From 2010 to 2019 I lived in Vietnam, where I exhibited in my own gallery and a gallery in the central Hanoi business district. I have had many exhibitions including the Hanoi Opera House and I have sold art works to different nationalities across the globe.

I recently moved back to Australia and am hoping to produce more works in the near future inspired by Australian scenery, flora and fauna. I have been photographing people and places in Australia so as to paint them in black and white. I entered a black and white portrait titled ‘Uncle Charlie’ in the recent Tweed Regional Gallery Border art prize.
