Blue Chevrolet Ballerina

Inspired by the enigmatic Australian song of the same name by Ross Ryan in the seventies. The blue Chevrolet is easily found but all we see of the ballerina is her shoes.. what is she doing here and where has she gone. Some Hopper influence in the background colours.

A self taught artist. I don't restrict myself in media and styles.I enjoy painting in oils, acrylics, gouache and watercolour. I have an affinity for capturing moments from places I have been lucky enough to travel to. Often developing paintings from plein air sketches I have done in the field. Whilst I enjoy contemporary realism and impressionism I will sometimes stray into the realm of pure abstraction. Convincing portrayals of light and colour are usually my main goals. Subject matter can range from the grand to the mundane and quirky.
