Bushrangers Bay 3

The dramatic coastal area of Bushrangers Bay on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. Worth the walk to get to. At low tide there are many rock pools. This painting is more of a high tide view. With the foaming roiling foreground water in contrast with the subtle greens and ochre of the headland.

A self taught artist. I don't restrict myself in media and styles.I enjoy painting in oils, acrylics, gouache and watercolour. I have an affinity for capturing moments from places I have been lucky enough to travel to. Often developing paintings from plein air sketches I have done in the field. Whilst I enjoy contemporary realism and impressionism I will sometimes stray into the realm of pure abstraction. Convincing portrayals of light and colour are usually my main goals. Subject matter can range from the grand to the mundane and quirky.
