Inspired by an old 1957 Government tourism film promoting the modernity of living on Queensland's Gold Coast. This mid century house makes a brief background appearance. The figures are dressed in appropriate 50's clothes.

A self taught artist. I don't restrict myself in media and styles.I enjoy painting in oils, acrylics, gouache and watercolour. I have an affinity for capturing moments from places I have been lucky enough to travel to. Often developing paintings from plein air sketches I have done in the field. Whilst I enjoy contemporary realism and impressionism I will sometimes stray into the realm of pure abstraction. Convincing portrayals of light and colour are usually my main goals. Subject matter can range from the grand to the mundane and quirky.
