A small Fijian village reached by boat from Sigatoka. This is a communal hall where kava ceremonies take place. Set in lush grass fields the late afternoon pink tinge of the sky made something worth painting.
John Poole 120 artworks | 49 Sold Follow Contact John A self taught artist. I don't restrict myself in media and styles.I enjoy painting in oils, acrylics, gouache and watercolour. I have an affinity for capturing moments from places I have been lucky enough to travel to. Often developing paintings from plein air sketches I have done in the field. Whilst I enjoy contemporary realism and impressionism I will sometimes stray into the realm of pure abstraction. Convincing portrayals of light and colour are usually my main goals. Subject matter can range from the grand to the mundane and quirky.
