The painting is a light wax base, gouache and charcoal on top, then coated with wax to seal. So The work may be fragile and should be kept framed and temperature-controlled - unless you like dripping wax.

I decided I wanted to be an artist and immediately began painting at the age of 8, and have never had any misgivings about the decision to follow the artistic path.
I studied at the Queensland College of Art until being expelled in 1984 for being a “disruptive and disturbing influence”, after which my career really took off.
