Jonah is a clever and skilled painter, hunter and land managment ranger. His country lies in central eastern Arnhemland, Rembarrnga country. He grew up in Lake Evella and is the son of Pamela Nalorlman and Norman Lawrence. Jonah works and collects different mediums including Bark, Paper and Mako (Didjeridu). He has also spent time working with the Waddeken Land management group who look after a large IPA in Western and Central Arnhemland. In May 2016 Jonah represented Injalak Arts at the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts in Guam with his wife, sister-in-law and brother-in-law. They were part of the Australian delegation and made up one of the 27 pacific island nations and territories that participated.
