My new piece selfie 53 studies, the notorious selfie. The selfie is an instant communication of where we are and what we are doing. Unlike traditional self portraiture, selfies are spontaneous, casual, distorted and sometimes carefully staged. Selfie 53 explores this very idea.

Jonathan Redmayne is an artist based in Australia whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in England, Italy, Argentina, and the United States.
