Artwork Description

My new two piece set, The Mind’s Palette studies, the notorious selfie. The selfie is an instant communication of where we are and what we are doing. Unlike traditional self portraiture, selfies are spontaneous, casual, distorted and sometimes carefully staged. The
Mind’s Palette studies this very idea.

Artist Bio

Jonathan Redmayne is an artist based in Australia whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in England, Italy, Argentina, and the United States. He describes his works as challenging the current climate and are carefully arranged by showcasing organic shapes that orchestrate a narrative of conflict and harmony, fragments of contrasting colours created through blending brushstrokes, abstract signatures and sculptural like curves.. Redmayne's bold compositions embody a visual aesthetic that "emotionally confronts the viewer".
