Artwork Description

Transition (series 2). I have always wanted to make a large painting of the early spring when the first leaves are at the bottom of the trees and they seem to float in space in a wonderful way.

Artist Bio

My interest in painting has always been to arrive at a unified image with fullness and clarity. There is always a silent moment in painting when everything comes together from concept to a finished piece.

My inspirations have been the natural Australian landscape and architecture. It is captured through the beauty of colours in our surrounding, sunlight and seasons that have influenced my concepts and subjects to my work.

I look towards western and eastern art. My new painting often begins as a series of calligraphic gestural marks and strokes.

My work background was doing large scale commercial interior design with projects spanning across many Asian cities designing hotels, hospitality projects and corporate offices.

Graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
