Serenity

This piece was one of my first explorations. An original piece made involving slight texture with some darker colours such as black and chocolate brown to create dimension. Contrasting this a light airy green with white and neutral hues to create a more relaxed and calming element. The artwork also involves multiple markings that reflect some of my inspirations at the time of varying cultures.

Jordyn Halliday is an emerging Australian Artist. She is self taught, and her work often entails textured abstract paintings with varying colours and designs. Her medium of choice is Acrylic, often combined with other texture based mediums such as light modelling paste or multi-purpose filler.

With qualifications in Visual Merchandising and Interior Design she is constantly inspired and influenced by current trends and uses her knowledge in these areas for her artistic inspiration.

Other characteristics that impact her work are nature and emotions. She often creates intuitively and flows with the process as well as adding intentional details to finish off and finalise her artworks.
