Artwork Description

Painted from my own reference photographs taken in the Boranup Forest in the Margaret River region of Western Australia, this work depicts colourful gumtrees with a road leading through the forest. Light filtering through the trees highlights the structure, colour, and depth of the landscape.

I paint with large brushes and bold loose strokes in vibrant colours. I did a lot of paint splashing on this piece, which shows up through the trees.
