Like a lot of artists, my beginnings were formed in graphite drawings, but I will always consider painting as my 'first love'. Predominantly in acrylics early on with a recent shift towards oils as my prefered medium. Beyond this I have been fortunate enough to build a career in the art world as a tattooist, an art form that I am equally passionate about.
Having entered my first art show in 2017, I have been lucky enough to take out awards in the Tyers Art Show in both 2017 and 2018, the Mirboo North Art Show in 2018 as well as the Glorious Gippsland Art Show in Bairnsdale in 2019. Also in 2019 I had the opportunity to have my first solo show at the East Gippsland Art Gallery in the Sideshow Gallery and was invited to be the featured artist at the Tyers Art Festival. So far 2020 has seen my first RAW Artists Showcase 'Premier' in the Pavilion, Kensington, in February.
My work focuses largely on the deeper, often times darker and sometimes confronting sides of the human experience. I have heard it said that art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable; this is what I aim to do.
