Artwork Description

Having fun with whimiscal surrealism, hope you enjoy.

Reality gives way to a dreamlike landscape where scale, logic, and time no longer obey familiar rules. A giant rabbit sits quietly at the water’s edge. The rabbits height measured due to it's unusual size . Above them, a flamingo lands with a parachute, while a young observer watches from an open window suspended between worlds.
The work explores the tension between observation and imagination. The measuring figure represents humanity’s desire to quantify and understand the world, while the oversized rabbit embodies the mysterious and uncontrollable forces that exist beyond reason. The parachuting flamingo introduces an element of chance and absurdity, suggesting that unexpected events often shape our experiences more than careful planning.
The open window acts as a portal between inner and outer realities. The young face gazing outward invites viewers to become witnesses themselves, questioning whether the scene is a memory, a dream, or a glimpse into an alternate narrative. The water reflects fragments of the landscape, reinforcing themes of perception and the shifting nature of truth.
Through collage and juxtaposition, the artwork celebrates the surreal connections that emerge when unrelated elements are brought together. It encourages viewers to abandon certainty, embrace curiosity, and find meaning in the unexpected encounters that populate both dreams and everyday life. "Sometimes the most accurate measure of reality is not found in numbers, but in wonder"
