Close up views of microcosms in the natural environment play an important role in my expression. Walking in the Australian bushland and rainforest is one of my favourite activities. This is the newest addition to my series of paintings titled Turquoise Deeps. Inspired by the shining sea, the light on the surface and the colours of the sea descending to depth. I hand mixed the colours from the pure chroma to lighter tones. The place was Noosa Heads National Park, which I love and is a source of ongoing inspiration. I acknowledge the Kabi Kabi First Nations people past and present, whose land this is. Economic and low carbon shipping from Australia. Large works are taken off the stretcher frame and carefully packaged and shipped in a strong plastic tube. The tube can be recycled. Your painting can easily be re-mounted on a new stretcher frame by your local picture framer. There is no need for an outer frame, as all the sides are painted as an extension of the artwork. Please see side view in additional images. The cost is much less than shipping the artwork on the frame in a plywood box.
