Artwork Description

An artwork of my husband sitting in our dining room, where I explore how I can merge the abstract and the representative depiction of a figure in an interior. Inspired by Matisse's interior paintings.
The painting is unstretched and will be sent securely flat packed for ease of mounting and framing.

Artist Bio

Josseline Jeria is a Contemporary Australian born painter, currently based in Sydney.
Focusing on the Fine arts, I work predominately in realist traditions based in impressionistic and expressionistic styles. I explore incorporating abstract qualities in my work, to create different pictorial spaces and to emphasize focal points. My choice of style for a given painting is made based on the composition and the mood I wish for the audience to experience when viewing my work.
I enjoy exploring the full spectrum of colour palettes, from monochromatic to highly saturated, and from minimal to complex interpretations of objects, landscapes and people.
The majority of my paintings are painted from life.
