This is a scene of a place on my street that I've past by countless times. I chose to abstract the landscape to better capture the essence, ambience and feeling of the spot on a sunny day so that the viewer can better feel the air and atmosphere without all the details.

Josseline Jeria is a Contemporary Australian born painter, currently based in Sydney.
Focusing on the Fine arts, I work predominately in realist traditions based in impressionistic and expressionistic styles. I explore incorporating abstract qualities in my work, to create different pictorial spaces and to emphasize focal points. My choice of style for a given painting is made based on the composition and the mood I wish for the audience to experience when viewing my work.
I enjoy exploring the full spectrum of colour palettes, from monochromatic to highly saturated, and from minimal to complex interpretations of objects, landscapes and people.
The majority of my paintings are painted from life.
