Artist Bio

Ann Needham’s distinctive style could best be described as an abstract representation of an internal state, of feelings or emotions, made visible through her exploration of color, line, texture and the human form.
Ann Needham’s subjects range from landscapes to relationships and may morph from the familiar, into a place of pure color, form, and complete abstraction.
Needham has a background in design and psychology. She has drawn on both these areas to shape her unique style and process. Needham says, “I am never sure where a painting will take me, and hopefully, neither is the viewer.”
Ann Needham is based in Brisbane, Queensland. Needham’s paintings are held in collections across Australia, USA, England and Singapore.
