I've painted 'An Urban Oasis' in my studio. The resource was one of my graphite sketches I did last November in the gardens of the Caloundra Regional Gallery in Queensland. It was a beautiful day, sunny and inviting, and I was again with fellow artists sketching en plein air.
This little selection of trees, branches, foliage and grasses rests in-between the gallery and the Sunshine Coast Library, and council offices were across the road, in the distance. Surrounded by buildings - these beautiful gardens are quite an oasis for visitors.
