The original little watercolour resource for this painting was done at one of my en plain air mornings with a group of artists at Curramundi, on the Sunshine Coast. The sun was splashing on the creek, and glowing through this huge Cotton Tree creating a sea of colours and dappled light, and silhouette effects. It was a beautiful experience.
