This is from my latest still life series 2019. It's all about magnifying the bouquet of flowers and placing it in today's surroundings. Traditional subject yet contemporary influence. I just love the blue and white chinaware and coffee table books. I chose to paint a pink bouquet of peonies because they just brighten up the room. It has been varnished to give more vibrancy to the artwork.
It is stretched and ready to hang. The canvas is wrapped around the 4cm wooden bars..
